Week One
Freshwater West beach in Pembrokeshire.
As you can see this is a beautiful beach and is very quiet. This picture was taken one month before we heard the exciting news that Harry Potter was to be filmed here.
End of Week One
And so we set off in search of the elusive Shell Cottage. In the end we found the cottage and it was about half a mile down the beach located in the second set of sand dunes.
Week Two
After following several different sets of tracks in the sand (we believe they were left by the Knight Bus) we finally found it.
End of Week Two
We were surprised to see that the wall can be lifted by one man!
But we guessed that in the magic world anything is possible and especially when the builders do not adhere to the Pembrokeshire promise.
Week Three
One week later and look at the speed these guys work at!
Obviously wizards are much quicker at building than muggle builders especially in Pembrokeshire.
End of Week Three

Week Four
After hiding on the beach for several days hoping to snap a picture of an elusive wizard we were unfortunately unlucky. However, the day was looking to be nice so we decided to have a picnic instead.
End of Week Four
The magical workcrew continue to build the Shell Cottage at incredible speed. You can even spy one resting on his broomstick at the top of the scaffolding!
Week Five
The Shell Cottage is nearly complete. Small touches such as finishing the chimney, anti-muggle magic, windows, roofing and protections against Lord Voldemort and his followers are still to be placed.
Week Five
After several weeks of trying to take a picture of a wizard we were finally able to capture it on film!
This witch seemed friendly enough but unfortunately we were unable to understand a word she said (she mentioned something about a missing hat).
End of Week Five
As soon as that strange witch got escorted away by the wizard security (they caught her trying to get in when nobody was looking) the Shell Cottage was almost complete.
Despite the cottage having been finished there had been several charms put on the cottage to prevent Muggles from vandalising it. This means that most of the Muggles that came to see it, couldn't! What a shame.
We were lucky however as we managed to obtain a pair of wizards goggles! (we never told you that though)
Week Six
This further proves that Muggles can't see the Shell Cottage (which is a good thing) as they are walking right past it!
Week Six
We caught the strange witch at the Shell Cottage again. This time she was wearing her hat so we assume that she found it (that's if she even lost it, I have my suspicions that she just misplaced it).
End of Week Six
It seems that she's in another picture of ours (she doesn't seem to be camera shy in the slightest). This is typical as we spent two weeks waiting for one to show up before! Much like Pembrokeshire builders really.
Week Seven
This was the final day of us taking our photos as during the night the Shell Cottage simply vanished! All the people you can see along the beach were Muggles that hoped to come and catch a quick glimpse of someone famous (or someone wizardly). Alas, this wasn't to be.
Hopefully however, they will all come to Dragon Alley (as everyone knows wizards frequent here often).
